More and more people come to see the Colosseum! After the 2018 all time record (7.650.519 visitors) in 2019 there was a little decrease.
Visitors to Italian museums have slightly decreased over 2019. Gross receipts, though, climbed to more than 242 million Euro.
The top attractions in 2019, beyond Rome's Colosseum, have been the Uffizi Museum in Florence (4.3 million visitors) and the ancient Roman city of Pompeii (3.9 million) .
Actually, the most visited Roman monument (more than 9 millions) is the Pantheon, but there the entrance is free, therefore it does not appear in the statistics of museums revenues.
